The Galaxy A51 From Samsung

And with the mobile middle range market more crowded than ever before, we decided now is a good idea to evaluate a phone that will likely sell in large numbers around the globe, the Samsung Galaxy A51. It has a conservative but attractive design, Samsung's A51 comes with quad rear camera setup, an amoled screen and a middle set selfie camera, and a glass-tastick rear panel.
The Samsung A51 has been up selling throughout UK from early February and the A51 launched in the US during April and retails at $399.99/£329.

Samsung's Galaxy A51 Speed And Performance

This Super Amoled display is good as you would expect from the Galaxy range}, the colours being so bright and vibrant with the viewing planes are really a pleasure. And with very little to whinge about apart from it is a bit dull (yet it is still readable) in direct sunlight and not conducive to viewing content on, even when you have the brightness turned up to 100%.
And here is when roadtesting flagship smartphones like the Oppo Find X2 Pro 5G as well as the One Plus 8 can be hurtful in achieving a sense of a mid-range smartphone like Sasmung's Galaxy A51.
This A51's 9611 processor is just not able to compete with the top of the range chipset and moving from flagship Exynos to the Snapdragon processor is a sobering experience until you see that this smartphone is a middle of the range smartphone and that allowances will likely need to be given.
No mistaking that, this phone can be slow at times and we were sometimes left wondering if the phone had indeed sensed my contact or not when trying to open some app or share something.
And this is just a level of lag that I haven’t seen for a lot of time, such as with base model devices which costs just £145.
As for the device's in-display fingerprint sensor, suffice to say that Samsung should have placed it in the rear panel because I had a success ratio of about half when trying to unlock the A51 before ending up entering the pin code.

Design

Due to its glass-ticky back, the Galaxy A51 doesn't really look or feel like it's a mid-range phone, the plastic construction feels more forgiving in your grasp in that there aren't any sharp edges you sometimes see on handsets that have back panels made out of toughened glass.
The design trait on the rear paneling is nice and provides some personality to the A51. And where sometimes the branding on budget phones is a touch over the top, Samsung's brand has been modestly placed.
You see the presence of a centrally located punch-hole camera setup which, is becomes more noteworthy due to what appears to be a metal ring around it that draws attention.
Serious audio fans are sure to be happy that there's an audio connector placed on the lower edge of the phone, sitting alongside the USB-C port and a speaker.
The top of the handset houses a microphone and on the right-hand side there's a power switch and volume adjuster with a SIM card tray place on the left edge.
It is a tidy yet, classy unit that slides into a normal-sized pocket with ease.
